Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) lashed out at Fox News anchor Chris Wallace for asking about staff resignations from Gingrich's presidential campaign in June.

Gingrich accused Wallace of asking "Mickey Mouse" questions, explaining that he would rather the media focus on the ideas in his campaign than staff "minutiae."

"I wish you would put aside the gotcha questions," Gingrich testily responded to a question from the "Fox News Sunday" anchor, referencing debate moderators' admonition to candidates to put aside stock answers.

The crowd seemed to boo the tough question from Wallace, who pressed other candidates with similarly tough questions.

Gingrich has lashed out at media who have asked about the departures from his staff; his chief spokesman and campaign manager departed, prompting speculation that Gingrich's presidential ambitions were crippled early in the process.
