Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the head of the Democratic National Committee, on Friday called her Republican counterpart "funny."

Judging by the reaction from the Republican National Committee, she did not mean it as a compliment.

Wasserman Schultz tweeted:

It's funny that @ReincePriebus chooses Florida for RNC summer meeting when the GOP's main agenda item is to end Medicare as we know it.

Priebus, the head of the Republican National Committee, fired back, "There's nothing funny about @DWStweets' plan for Medicare: bankruptcy in 9 years."

Sean Spicer, communications director at the RNC, pushed b! ack against the criticism with a tweet as well: ".@RNC Bringing GOP convention to FLA..jobs/econ development and @DWStweets can only continue neg attacks"
