A Tennessee man pleaded guilty Wednesday to threatening Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.) over a passport issue.

Eric Robert Henderson, 27, admitted calling the lawmaker’s office in Washington and leaving threatening voice messages last year, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Authorities did not comment on why Henderson’s passport application was apparently stalled or why he blamed Roe. Henderson later also visited and made threats in Rep. John Duncan’s (R-Tenn.) Blount County office. FBI agents reportedly found a loaded rifle with scope and ammunition, as well as a gas mask and tactical vest and helmet, during a search of Henderson’s home.
