House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Sunday he is “disappointed” that Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels will not seek the Republicans nomination for president.

“Quite frankly, yes, I am disappointed. I think his candidacy would have been a great addition to his race. And I think it's unfortunate that he's not going to run,” Ryan said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Daniels, who was thought to be a top GOP candidate for president, cited his family in making the decision not to run.
