Three of the Republican 2012 hopefuls want us to know they play electric guitars and used to jam. Decades before Barack Obama and “Mad Men” and even Kurt Cobain and the Seattle scene, incidentally, so the young’uns don’t get it. As the average viewer I tend to be more impressed that Mitt Romney walked the streets of Paris or Lyon in his young years pitching Mormonism to hippies and French Catholics, virtually at the same moment the Hare Krishnas were pitching Ramakrishna. Or that Rick Perry flew C-130s back then. Maybe some more and better stories from the others like that. Maybe more and better candidates.
