Vice President Joe Biden will be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser in Nashua, N.H., next week, state Democrats announced.

The New Hampshire Democratic Party said Biden will give the keynote speech May 25 at the McIntyre-Shaheen “100 Club” Dinner.

"We are excited to welcome Vice President Biden to this year's event," New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley said in a statement. "Working with President Obama, Joe Biden has played a key role in turning our economy around and getting America on the right track."

The announcement comes the same day Obama travels to New England to deliver a commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., and speak at a pair of Democratic National Committee events in Boston.
