postheadericon Udall assembles a 'getting along' playlist for lame-duck

Sen. Mark Udall is getting help from Twitter followers in "setting the tone" for the lame-duck session.

The Colorado Democrat encouraged constituents on Tuesday to suggest songs for a playlist that will help Congress to "stay and get our work done."

"Sometimes you need to think creatively to bridge the divide in the Senate â€" and nothing sends a message better than music," he said in a statement. "So send your favorite hit about 'working' or 'getting along,' and I'll! post the ones that best set the tone … while we work as long as it takes to finish the people's business."

"As Elvis would say, we need a little less conversation, and a little more action."

Twitter members can suggest songs by using the hashtag #Song4Congress.

Udall suggested "Come Together" by The Beatles.

Followers have already added Johnny Cash's "I Won't Back Down," Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" and Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" to the playlist.
