postheadericon Tax deal a death blow to Grandpa

Grandpa has worked hard his whole life maintaining and expanding the family ranch. His calloused hands rarely got a vacation, and his wiry frame was always found milking at daybreak, riding the fence line making repairs in the winter, and calving in the spring.

Grandpa was blessed with the land, and possessed a strong sense of his responsibility to it. His Daddy had it, as did his Daddy before him.

Now Grandpa is sick, and his land is being appraised at $10 million because the once-faraway city has moved in closer and closer, and the land would make a wonderful location for a strip mall with a new TJ Maxx.
