News out of Washington on tax policy â€" multimillionaires win bonus tax breaks.

It’s true. And surely the media will focus on President Obama’s compromise that extends tax-break bonuses for the richest 1.6 percent of Americans as a capitulation to the new political realities of Washington â€" and I wouldn’t quibble with that assessment.

My concern is that the media will ignore and most Americans will not understand that with the agreement to prevent the Bush tax increases and previous tax cuts he pushed through Congress over the objection of nearly every Republican, President Obama has now earned the title of “the Tax Cut President.”
