Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) tweeted on Monday to note the death of actor and comedian Leslie Nielsen, 84.

"R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen," Ryan said. "Thanks for the laughs and you will never be forgotten."

Nielsen was best-known for his starring roles in "Airplane!" and the "Naked Gun" franchise. He died Sunday of complications from pneumonia. 

Ryan tweets at @TimRyan and has 5,485 followers.
