GOP Sen. John Cornyn has some words of wisdom for his colleagues in the government on Twitter Thursday.

Changing your mind is dangerous, he said: 

Ever notice how dangerous it is for an elected official to publically change their mind on an issue?

It is unclear to what Cornyn (Texas) is referring, but he did catch flack from some for requesting millions of dollars in earmarks in the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill, which he said came earlier this year.!  

The senator said Republicans were now trying to defeat the bill, saying it is laden with pork-barrel spending. 

"The Republican conference voted for an earmark moratorium going forward. There are some on the Appropriations Committee that think that doesn't apply to this bill. But that's too cute by half," he said. "[The American people] don't want business as usual."
