Disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff has left his job at a small kosher pizzeria in Baltimore after working there for nearly six months.

Abramoff â€" an Orthodox Jew â€" started working at Tov Pizza in June after being released from a minimum-security federal prison into a halfway house. There, the former GOP powerbroker served out the end of his 48-month prison term, which officially expired Dec. 4.

Tov Pizza owner Ron Rosebluth told The Hill in June that Abramoff would "follow me day-to-day and help with all aspects of the business."

Rosenbluth said Ambramoff helped him market his business to consumers.

"Obviously we're dealing with a tough economy. I was able to get ! some of his expertise in marketing," Rosenbluth said in an interview with the Associated Press on Tuesday. "It was interesting; it was nice. He was very helpful."

Abramoff was convicted and jailed in 2006 for fraud and corruption charges as part of a wide-ranging investigation that took down 20 people, including former Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio).
