postheadericon Bloomberg to unveil 9/11 memorial countdown clock

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Twitter that he would attend an event on Tuesday at Ground Zero in anticipation of the opening of the 9/11 memorial next year.

At the event, Bloomberg will help to unveil a countdown display marking the days until the opening, which is scheduled for the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks â€" September 11, 2011. 

The display â€" a clock â€" will be presented in a 13-by-7 foot wall of LCD screens. It will also display images of how the completed site will look.

"Joining Sharp's CEO @Sept11Memorial today to unveil new massive video wall counting down days to 9/11 memorial opening," Bloomberg tweeted.

The museum's president will also attend, according to reports.
