Former First Lady Barbara Bush told CNN's Larry King she hopes Sarah Palin stays in Alaska during an interview that will air Monday night.

When asked for her read on Palin by King, Bush offered the following take:

"I sat next to her once, thought she was beautiful," Bush said. "And I think she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."

She also said she loves her son, President George W. Bush's recently published book Decision Points.

"I loved the book, I thought it was very frank," Bush said. "He's not trying to write a biography, he's trying to tell how it is in the White House."
